Wilson Construction came to me in need of a new logo for their sub-brand, Wilson Utility Helicopters. Wilson UH is an arm of their construction services that uses helicopters to install power lines and build projects from the air.
Process
The first call and discovery with the client included them expressing their want for the logo to be related to Wilson while also demonstrating what the arm of the business does. In their conference room they had a helicopter on the wall, made of metal. This piece made its way into one of the logo directions that ended up being the chosen direction.
The Logos
Wilson has a piece of wall art of a helicopter in their office. Originally in a black outline, I converted it to the brand colors and included it in their logo. The logo boasts the same shape as the main brand but is distinguishable by the name as well as the chopper that is demonstrating its use. Their helicopter team hauls around materials and builds power lines so it was apt it do the same in the logo.
